The initial response to the Paths of Old website has been far more positive than I imagined, so first of all I'd like to say a big "thank you" to everyone who has visited the site, subscribed or left a comment on Facebook. I'm pleased to see this looks like being a useful resource for the future, especially as we gradually work our way out of lockdown and can appreciate once more the wonderful countryside we have around Old.

Today, June 1st, is officially the first day of Summer - at least according to the Met Office, anyway. But, given the weather we've been having lately, we'd all be forgiven for thinking Summer is already in full swing. With restrictions relaxed and a good forecast promised, the weekend just gone presented a great opportunity to get out and about.

I'll add the routes and notes to the website during the week, but essentially it was such a lovely weekend we decided to walk two different routes between Old and Market Harborough - approx 16 miles via East Farndon, Clipston, Kelmarsh, Lamport and Scaldwell on the Saturday and 13 miles through Harrington, Arthingworth and Great Oxendon on the Sunday. Here are a few of the photos.

Thanks again for your initial support - I hope to add more features and more walks over time, so any suggestions for walks, improvements, etc, will be welcome.
